ASRC CATERING COMPANY
Asylum Seeker Resource Centre -
April 10, 2005
The Catering Service is part of the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre's Employment Program. By following the empowerment model, the Employment Program aims to create employment opportunities and career pathways through the provision of direct individual support to asylum seekers looking for work.
The Catering Service will work to a triple bottom line that ensures financial outcomes for asylum seekers while being socially and ecologically responsible. To this end, the service will be both vegetarian and organic.
So stay tuned for the mouth watering treats from the four corners of the world that are not only good for you, the environment and society at large but will support one of the most oppressed groups in our community.

ASRC Community Garden
Asylum Seeker Resource Centre -
October 2008
Eastweb is proud to support a fabulous new project run from the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre which is about building community and improving health thru getting your hands dirty.
A group of asylum seekers at the Centre, with the assistance of a committed group of volunteers, are planting out their first edible community garden, focussing on herbs and selected vegetables. Produce from the garden will be used by the ASRC Catering Company (which Eastweb supported to get going).
It is hoped that those who get their hands dirty will enjoy the great sense of satisfaction of growing your own produce, as well as sharing the experience with those around them.
